Visit Lellingen

Description

Acknowledged by the national monuments protection authority as an exemplary village, Lellingen has managed to preserve its authentic character up to the present day. In the village centre, the octagonal church stands out in particular. In the forests and the oak coppice Pënzebierg as well as in so-called Lohr near the village, the wild daffodils start sprouting with the first rays of spring sun. This plant, also known as Lent lily or Narcissus pseudonarcissus (or in Luxembourgish Lorblumm), which is a protected species, can only be found here. Every year on 23 June, the Luxembourg National Day, the Open Air Konstfestival is held in Lellingen. This art event, which is known far beyond the country’s borders, attracts over 5000 visitors every year.
