From 24 October to 8 November, the Robbesscheier Nature Centre invites you, as every year, to its beetroot weeks "Trauliicht".
The "Trauliichter" are handmade beet lanterns with frightening grimaces carved into them. According to legends, at nightfall, these lanterns are transported all over the country and are placed on either side of the stable doors. If the cows passed between the lanterns, the lanterns were free of all diseases and the ghosts, which had settled in the stable during the summer months, had to be expelled.
This tradition continues to this day! Come and discover the enchanted and colourful world of the spirits with our exceptional autumn lantern programme!
