Description

The tour starts at the station in Mamer and leads through Capellen and Keispelt to Mersch, among other places. It continues there along the river Mamer and back to the town of Mamer.

The tour starts at the train station in Mamer and is therefore easy to reach by train or bus. At the beginning, the route leads to the town of Capellen, then through smaller villages such as Nospelt and Meispelt before reaching the village of Schoenfels with the castle of the same name. After a long descent, you reach the town of Mersch. From here, the path leads into the Mamer valley, where the cycle path runs along the river before arriving back in Mamer.

Safety advice
Even if you are travelling on roads with reduced traffic, please follow the traffic regulations and bear in mind that residents and farmers may cross your path.

More information
Discover the green Mamertal, its deep forests and the hills of the municipality of Kehlen with their great panoramic views.

Along the “Vëlosummer” routes, cyclists can collect stickers and win great prizes. When you buy something, have a drink, eat or pay admission at one of the participating businesses, you receive a sticker. You can stick these on a collection card in the handy postcard format (available in the participating businesses). Once you’ve collected five stickers, you can enter the competition by sending in the card.

Author’s tip
Discover the Roman villa in Goeblange or the Schoenfels Castle. The Mamertal and surrounding nature invite you to linger a while.
