The cycle tour starts at the station in Mersch and leads through the Guttland region, which is also characterised by its breathtaking views of castles.
The tour starts at the train station in Mersch, which allows you to get there by public transport. From here, the route first heads west, where several castles can already be seen in the first few kilometres. From Brouch to Useldange, the route leads through expansive fields before the cycle path follows the course of the Attert river from Useldange to Colmar.
Here, at the border of the Éislek region, the path makes a U-turn and heads south again to Mersch.
Visit one of the many castles on the route or enjoy the view while taking a break in one of the idyllic villages.
Even if you are travelling on roads with reduced traffic, please follow the traffic regulations and bear in mind that residents and farmers may cross your path.
Up to six castles can be discovered on this tour along the valleys of the Alzette, Attert and Eisch rivers.
Along the “Vëlosummer” routes, cyclists can collect stickers and win great prizes. When you buy something, have a drink, eat or pay admission at one of the participating businesses, you receive a sticker. You can stick these on a collection card in the handy postcard format (available in the participating businesses). Once you’ve collected five stickers, you can enter the competition by sending in the card.
