Emmanuelle Mei enjoys creating songs like little pleas, which is no surprise considering she used to be a lawyer before becoming a singer-songwriter! The young self-taught singer writes and composes intimate pop songs, sometimes teasing, touching and sensual, slightly activist, and unmistakably feminist. In her show Sans Dessous, she speaks of her love for swimming in ice cold waters, she fantasizes about her pianist’s fingers coming and going on the keyboard, she evokes beds she left, fractured fairy tales, and impossible lands of beauty and harmony.
