Thematic paths Pit Gelz
The City Tour is available from 30/07-28/08 and departs from the Central Station. The special feature of this bike ride is the combination of urban stretches with observation points on the one hand and sections with plenty of nature and recreational value on the other.
The bike tour has numerous tourist highlights to offer, starting from the main station in typical Mosel Baroque style. On the beautiful Avenue de la Liberté, there is plenty to take your breath away architecturally: the Place de Paris, the former A.R.B.E.D. administration building and the Turm der Staatssparkasse. A special feature for cyclists is the bike path below the Adolphe Bridge, overlooking the Pétruss Valley and the Old Town. It’s worth stopping and taking photos here. Continue through the idyllic city park with playground, fountains and lovely grounds to the Pfaffenthal Panoramic Elevator, which also offers breathtaking views. You will cycle through the quiet district of Pfaffenthal on the Bockfelsen to and under the castle bridge into the picturesque district of Grund. Be sure to stop here on the bridge for views of the Upper Town and the city walls. The rest of the route leads along the Alzette Valley through unspoilt nature towards Hesperange.

The tour departs from the Central Station and then takes the bike path through Avenue de la Liberté towards the city centre. Once at the Adolphe Bridge, turn left and take the underpass below the bridge. At the exit, cross the street and make an arc through the city park on the specially marked bike trails to the Pfaffenthal Panoramic Elevator. At the bottom, you will cycle right through Rue Laurent Ménager, where there is a small incline. A few hundred metres further on, keep left and take Rue Sosthène Weis until you arrive in the Grund district. From there, take a left over the bridge and turn right onto Rue Münster, which then becomes Bisserweg.
