The City of Luxembourg is a real mix of styles. Between remnants of the past and contemporary architecture, discover a cultural program full of contrasts.
Echternach, especially well-known for the Dancing Procession (UNESCO World Heritage), is the gate to the Mullerthal Region - Luxembourg's Little Switzerland. On the banks of the river Sûre, Echternach forms the border with Germany and is the ideal place to start rambles in the area. Numerous foot- and walking paths lead to the surrounding woods with view points, waterfalls and rocks, like the famous "Gorge du Loup" and the Perekop. Echternach lies at the intersection of Routes 1+2 of the Mullerthal Trail, the newly created regional hiking circuit. The old patrician houses, the narrow streets and the ancient ramparts have helped Echternach to retain a remarkable medieval atmosphere. Five restored towers of the medieval walls have been turned into holiday apartments. More information: www.mullerthal.lu / www.echternach-tourist.lu
