Luxembourg never sleeps. Be it because of the famous Rock-a-Field festival, the more classical International Festival of Echternach or due to the Summer in the City Festival,  this is a country on the move.

Summer Music Festivals in Luxembourg

Luxembourg offers like every year a broad and diverse music program in 2017.

Discover only a small selection of the upcoming Summer Music Festivals throughout the Grand-Duchy:

  • June 9th to July 15th: Festival International Echternach
    This Festival, ranging from classic music to jazz and world music, has been hosting famous international and national stars but also young talents since 1975. Many pieces were performed for the first time in great historic settings such as the Basilica, the Peter and Paul Church and the very modern culture and conference centre called “TRIFOLION” in Echternach. A festival taking place in an unforgettable atmosphere.
  • June 16th - September 11th: Summer in the City in Luxembourg-city
    The Summer in the City Festival has been created by the Luxembourg City Tourist Office and offers numerous cultural happenings transforming the capital into an open-air stage. Concerts with international artists, theatre, street art, outdoor cinemas, exhibits ... are only a few of the highlights taking place over the main summer months. Enjoy the urban life with this exciting festival where most events are free!
  • June 28th - July 23rd: Festival de Wiltz
    The Festival de Wiltz is one of the highlights in the beautiful castle of Wiltz, located in the Luxembourg Ardennes. From 1953 on, the festival was the annual meeting point for international theater and music ensembles. Some of the biggest artists of our time have played in this special, partly open-air setting. The program offers mainly highlights from ballet, jazz, opera and musicals.
  • July 8th: Blues Express in Lasauvage & Fond-de-Gras
    11 stages, 40 bands and hours of authentic Blues music on two outstanding industrial sites connected by the mining train and reachable by the Train 1900, that's what defines the Blues Express in the south of the country. Headliners this year are The Taj Mahal & Keb’ Mo’ Band (USA), Dawn Tyler Watson (UK), Kid Colling Cartel (LUX), Vítor Bacalhau (PT).
  • July 15th: Festival MeYouZik in Luxembourg-city
    The world music festival stands for multicultural encounters, musical exchanges, co-existence and tolerance and reflects the urban reality of Luxembourg city. Additionally, the MeYouVillage offers food, music and entertainment from around the world.
  • July 16th: Rock um Knuedler in Luxembourg-city
    Luxembourg's rock and pop scene have met at this renowned festival since more than 25 years. The three stages and a varied culinary offer welcome rockers to enjoy several hours of non-stop live music at the Place Guillaume II. On this years program are Marlon Roudette, Marc Welter's Joint Bunch, First H, Go by Brooks, Daniel Balthasar, FOX, The Kooters just to name a few.
  • July 29th: Blues'n Jazz Rallye in Luxembourg-city with jazz and blues bands from the Grand Duchy and abroad
    This jazz and blues marathon offers fifty-seven concerts in twelve cafes and restaurants and on eleven outdoor scenes nestled at the foot of the ramparts of the fortress listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The festival attracts every year world-class musicians.
  • August 4th to 6th: Food for your Senses in Luxembourg City
    Food for your Senses is a 3-day alternative music and arts festival for all your senses, with national and international artists.  Besides, there will be all kind of other activities such as Yoga, a whole kids area, performative storytelling, Poetry Slam and much more. A vast camping area is set right to the festival site and is accessible to visitors holding a 3-day pass.
  • August 11th – 13th: e-Lake Festival at the lake in Echternach
    e-Lake is a 3-day music festival taking place at the lake of Echternach, as the name it says. Local and international bands and DJ's of different music styles turn up the music on different stages. Eko Fresh, De Läb, Royal Republic, Sander van Doorn ... just to name a few. A campsite is available at around 10 walking minutes from the festival setting.
