The Feast of Saint Valentine evolved into an occasion in which lovers used to express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards. Nowadays, people around the world use this day as an opportunity to travel around the world or for a short City trip.

To ensure an unforgettable and enjoyable time on February 14th, we've come up with Valentine's Day ideas that should help you plan your day.

To start your day, a stroll on the Corniche walk, also called “the most beautiful balcony of Europe”, followed by a walk through the beautiful and well maintained parks and gardens, is the perfect way to discover the romantic city of Luxembourg.

If you are staying in other parts of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, a visit of the medieval town of Vianden, with its majestic castle, one of the largest and finest feudal residences of the Roman and Gothic eras in Europe, and a tour of the little town Esch-sur-Sûre, close to the lake Upper-Sûre are must-sees.

In the afternoon you can enjoy a lovely carriage ride through the Moselle region or a ride with Ardennes horses through the beautiful Our Nature Park in the Luxembourg Ardennes.

If you prefer being spoiled with a good massage or some beauty treatments, different spa retreats offer special deals for this specific day.

To finish this extraordinary day, gastronomic restaurants all over the country offer a Valentine’s Day Menu in a charming setting.

After a delicious dinner, bring the day to a close in a wine bar of your choice with an extra glass of fine wine.

For those who are looking for more cosiness, a good bottle of quality wines from the Moselle and some sweet delights from our well-known patisseries are good option to celebrate this day chill at home.
